Basically every time I talk crypto to a stranger, friend or family member a, they will generally always ask me what the NZD equivalent is of my assets. It’s interesting that the "how much crypto you got’ question does not share the same social boundaries as questions like ‘how much money do you make’ or ‘how much is in your bank account’ or ‘how old are you’.
Asking someone how much crypto they own is the same as asking someone how how money they have in their bank account
This is actually a pretty great example of how we’re still quite far from mainstream!
It’s probably more along the lines of “How much was your car?” Crypto is just a gadget you have - not a financial asset you own.
